GWANGYANG DRIED PERSIMMON

Dried persimmon, a specialty of Gwangyang, is made from persimmons produced in Baegunsan Mountain and is carefully dried in the clear air and sunlight of Baegunsan Valley.

GWANGYANG CHEONG MAESIL (GREEN PLUM)

Cheong Maesil Farm is on the dented area of the ridge where the foot of Baegunsan Mountain,1,217.8m above sea level. While lots of plum trees grow up on every mountain along Seomjingang River, it is nearly impossible to find a farm with as many plum trees as many as Cheong Maesil Farm around Dosa-ri area, Gwangyang.

Since ancient times, plums have been used as food and medicine. Plum is a fruit rich in various organic acids including citric acid, vitamins, and minerals. Therefore, it is good for fatigue recovery, and it is good for detoxification by inhibiting the growth of harmful bacteria in the body. And although plums are sour, they are alkaline, so they prevent our body from becoming acidic due to various instant foods.

YUJA HYANGJU (YUJA-SCENTED LIQUOR)

Yujahyangju is a liquor made with a mixture of citron extract that has been fermented for 3 years and various herbal medicines (5 kinds). Unlike ordinary Takju, it is soft and sweet, and the final taste is also clean.

SANSUYU

SEOLDO SALTED FISH

DOLSAN GAT(LEAF MUSTARD) KIMCHI

The gat of Dolsan has a peculiar scent, and it has less tangy, spicy taste and fibers than an ordinary gat

MINEO(CROCKER) GEONJEONG

“Mineo Geonjeong" is a word that does not appear in the dictionary because it is a native dialect of Namdo.

Freshly caught croaker is marinated in sea salt, hung on top of a pole higher than a person's height, exposed to the wind and sunlight for 30 to 40 days, dried, and used for cooking. This is even more delicious due to the clean sea breeze.

SPROUT GINSENG

Sprout Ginseng is a type of Korean ginseng, considered a specialty at Jangseong, Jeollanamdo. With shorter planting time and lower cost (compare to normal ginseng), sprout ginseng still possesses enough valuable active nutrients of ginseng (with higher saponin content in the stem and leaves), and at the same time, can be conveniently cooked or directly eaten like normal green vegetables (can be eaten with roots, stems and leaves).

NAJU PEAR

BAMBOO TUBE STEAMED RICE
